This Day in History: 2020-01-26

The Australia Day WA Community Citizen Awards were presented by the Shire of Toodyay, this year, under a marquee in the Toodyay Showgrounds. Bree Byfield was declared the Community Citizen of the Year. Dean Carter and Nicole Coleman were the other nominees. Roz Davidson was declared the Senior Citizen of the Year, with Maggie Parson also nominated. The Youth Community Citizen of the Year Winner was Lucas McLerie, with Lincoln Pope also a worthy nominee. The Active Citizenship Award (Group or Event) was presented to Toodyay Locals Care, with Toodyay Fun & Fitness for over 50’s being the other nominee.
