The Shire of Toodyay Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards were again held in Duidgee Park, attended by about 200 people who enjoyed the free community breakfast provided by the Shire. Toodyay Baptist Church Youth Group leader Cameron Wallis and local community volunteer Desraé Clarke (then Secretary of the Toodyay Historical Society) were named joint winners of the senior award. Jackson Hansson won the award in the under-25 age category. The Toodyay Agricultural Society won the award for a community group or event.
