This Day in History: 2013-11-10

On a hot day, the inaugural annual Toodyay Car & Motorcycle Show was held in the Toodyay Showgrounds by the Toodyay Junior Football Club. This event was the idea of Wayne Outen as a Toodyay Junior Football Club fundraiser. The Toodyay Men’s Shed supplied the marshalls and parking attendants. Additional sponsorship came from Bendigo Bank Toodyay, IGA Toodyay, Op Shop, COVS Northam, S & R Scrap Metals, Shire of Toodyay, Shannons Insurance, Express Engines, Avon Machinery, Bygone Spares & Restoration, The Laughin’ Barrel and Noble Falls Tavern Restaurant. Funds raised were also shared with The Toodyay Men’s Shed and beyondblue.
