This Day in History: 2012-08-21

A DVD of the 175th Grand Parade in Toodyay, produced by Toodyay Historical Society Hon. Archivist Jenny Edgecombe, was launched by Cr. John Prater, Chair of the Toodyay 175th Anniversary Committee, at the Toodyay Shire Council meeting in the Council Chambers on Fiennes Street. The Toodyay Community Resource Centre sponsored the production of copies for sale. The film is supplemented by photographs taken throughout the parade and at the subsequent celebrations at the Toodyay Showgrounds.
