This Day in History: 2010-10-01

The Toodyay Historical Society was presented with an 1860 Memento Certificate from the Shire of Toodyay, acknowledging the 150^th Anniversary of the gazettal of the Town of Newcastle (now Toodyay). The Shire President Kevin Hogg made the presentation to the THS President Len Leeder in the Toodyay Visitors’ Centre, Piesse Street. The certificate was designed by Shire Museum Curator Moss Wilson. A limited printing of 160 numbered A3-sized certificates was produced.
