This Day in History: 2010-08-07

The sixth annual Toodyay Festival of Food was held on a sunny day and featured colourful dancers and drummers. In the Temptations Pavilion, the Toodyay’s Top Chef competition, run by Avalon Homestead, was judged by Acting Shire CEO Simon Fraser, local businessman Brian Dawes and special guest reality TV Chef Kate Rodrigues. Sal Bolger of Wendouree Tea Rooms was the winner from two other local chefs Lesley Hug of Toodyay Caravan Park and Leon Moore representing Bee Happy Honey.
