This Day in History: 2009-01-26

Daphne Lee and Ashley Grundy shared the award for the 2008 Senior Citizen of the Year, and Steven Twomey was named the Junior Citizen of the Year, in Duidgee Park, Toodyay, on Australia Day. The Toodyay Lions were named the Community Group of the Year (only nomination). Other nominees were Courtney Fleay for the Junior Citizen Award and Gail Twomey, Barry Grey, Peter Robinson and Beth Frayne for the Senior Citizen Award.
