On Australia Day, Bel Rowe and Cory Gale were awarded the 2001 Senior and Junior Toodyay Citizen of Year Awards, respectively, held in Duidgee Park. The Toodyay Op Shop was declared the 2001 Toodyay Community Group of the Year.
