This Day in History: 2001-12-01

Ida’s Hideaway, a social centre on Saturday afternoons for Seniors in Butterly House, on Harper Road, Toodyay, was officially opened by the Hon. Judi Moylen, MP, who unveiled a plaque. The brainchild of Ida Edwards, with help from her husband Ray, the Chairman was Laurie Beech. The centre had been unofficially opened the previous September.
