The new Goomalling Road Bridge over the Avon River on Goomalling-Toodyay Road, was opened by Shire President Allen Henshaw and Project Manager for Main Roads Doug Vickery. Costing $4.5 million, the bridge had a pedestrian walkway. The bridge used to be a single lane bridge. The name of the bridge was returned to its original nane, Connor Bridge, in 2006.
