This Day in History: 2001-10-19
The Hon. Dr. Judy Edwards, WA Environment Minister, officially named the Mavis Jefferys Nature Reserve, on Sandplain Road, Toodyay, at an event in the Toodyay Memorial Hall. The reserve was named after the late Mavis Jefferys (Toodyay CWA and Toodyay Naturalists’ Club member), who was instrumental in the creation of the reserve in 1997.
