This Day in History: 2000-12-21

The Toodyay Visitors’ Centre, on Piesse Street, was officially opened at 5.30pm. The TVC, funded totally by the Shire of Toodyay, was designed and built by R. (Rob) J. Stanford from a concept provided by CEO Andrew Smith and Shire staff member Royce Parker, with input from a community committee. Local wood craftsman Frank de Rijcke (Wood ‘n’ Iron Designs) manufactured the wooden counter.
