This Day in History: 1998-09-04
1998 September: The restored Donegan’s Cottage in the Toodyay Showgrounds was officially handed back into the care of the Shire of Toodyay by the Toodyay Historical Society. The Shire had decided to run an Archive Centre in the Cottage. Toodyay historical information had been stored in various places, at the Shire, the Library, the Museum and in private collections. The aim was to bring all this material together in Donegan’s Cottage. A committee had been formed to run the Centre, which included Judy Fisher and Carolyn Downie.
