The part-time Co-ordinator of the new Toodyay Telecentre, Alison Measham, commenced work. The telecentre, located at 2 Duke Street, Toodyay, was a technology facility, with one paid Co-ordinator, a Management Committee and a band of volunteers. It would have computers with internet connection, printers, fax machine scanners, a satellite dish and TV-video machine. Opening hours were planned to be 20 hours per week, over 6 days, depending on volunteers.
