At the monthly Council meetings in December 1997 and January 1998, the Toodyay Shire Council decided to meet the cost of connection, quarterly subscriptions and a modem for installation of an Internet access at the Toodyay Public Library through Avon Global Communications and also the purchase of a printer from a required supplier.
