This Day in History: 1995-02-15

A public meeting attended by 28 people was held in the Toodyay Shire Council Chambers, Fiennes Street, to consider whether the people of Toodyay wished to run the Toodyay Folk Arts Festival themselves. West Australian Folk Federation (W.A.F.F.) representatives were present. It was envisaged that the W.A.F.F. would hand over the running of the Festival to the local community within four years. A local committee was formed headed by Peter Chiffings.
