This Day in History: 1995-01-26

On Australia Day, Jack Hammer and Billy ‘Cobber’ McCormack were awarded the Senior and Junior Toodyay Citizen of the Year Awards, respectively, held in the Toodyay Showgrounds. Jack Hammer had been nominated by the Butterly Cottages Association. The Senior Sportsperson Award winner was Bernadette Nixon (hockey) and Junior Sportsperson was Ryan Pearce (all-rounder).
