1993 October 1-4: The Toodyay Folk Arts Festival ’93 held in Toodyay, was the 23rd Festival held by the West Australian Folk Federation. More contemporary folk music was offered, including bands from the urban pub scene. Tiddas, a mainly Koori female group, and the Whirling Furphies pub folk band, from Melbourne, topped the bill. Perth bush dance band Blackboy Jam also featured.
