This Day in History: 1993-09-02

A public meeting called by the Avon CityLink Committee, was held in the Toodyay Showgrounds Pavilion. Attended by 50 people, the aim was to get input about the establishment of a daily fast train service to Perth Central Station. A meeting was also held at the Lesser Town Hall in Northam on 9 September.  The Committee hoped to present a report to the Government by the end of the year.
