This Day in History: 1992-11-19

A cemeteries tour of Toodyay and Northam organized by Jan Goodacre (later James) was conducted for the National Trust (WA), local historians, MP Max Trenorden, and Toodyay and Northam Shire Councillors and staff, following a serious outbreak of vandalism in the Toodyay Public Cemetery. Toodyay Society members were invited. Nardie Cemetery was visited in the afternoon, on the way to the Northam sites. The intention was to have these sites listed with the National Trust and the Heritage Council.
