This Day in History: 1992-10-17

The first Newcastle Show Ball, held in Toodyay Memorial Hall, was most successful. A combined effort by the Toodyay Society and the Toodyay Agricultural Society, the attendees were encouraged to wear a masked costume. Music was provided by the Blue Brass. Ball co-ordinators were Desraé Clarke, Lyn Cook and Lois Dival. Two similar events were held in 1993-1994.
