This Day in History: 1992-07-23

The Shire of Toodyay held a Community Forum in the Toodyay Memorial Hall, attended by 100 people. The theme was ‘Look to the Future’. The Shire was in the process of reviewing its Town Planning Schemes Nos. 1 and 3. The impact of small lot special rural subdivisions was a one of the topics of concern. Tourism was regarded as a ‘necessary evil’.
