This Day in History: 1992-06-15
The Toodyay Learning Centre was officially opened in Parkers’ Cottage in the Toodyay Showgrounds, by Cr. Les Hoft. The Centre aimed to provide opportunities for sharing knowledge and skills in a friendly neighbourhood context, with childcare facilities included. Officials from the Learning Centre Link were present. The initial course was candlewicking, run by Sheila Tuppen.
