On Australia Day, Lyn Hammer and Clayton Butterly were awarded the Senior and Junior Toodyay Citizen of the Year Awards, respectively, held in the evening in the Toodyay Showgrounds. Allan Newton was Chairman of the Toodyay Australia Day Committee. Toodyay Towing won the Australia Day Business Display Competition. Toodyay Land Conservation District Committee Chairman Brian Hutchings presented Langlois Lefroy with the Shire of Toodyay Award for Landscape Rehabilitation.
