This Day in History: 1991-08-06

At the time of the 1991 Australian Census, the Shire of Toodyay was recorded as having a population of 2,461 persons and 487 dwellings. At the time of the 1986 Census, the figures were 1,798 persons and 591 dwellings. The population by 1991 had increased 36.87%.
