A contractor started work on the construction of new buildings at the Toodyay District High School on School Road, Toodyay. The contract, worth $823,000, included a new library, covered assembly and canteen area, home economics addition, administration block upgrade, toilet block upgrade, and the conversion of a transportable room into an arts and crafts space. The main power supply to the school was also upgraded. The work was expected to be completed by 31 December 1991.
