The Toodyay Race Club was informed by the Western Australian Thoroughbred Racing Industry Council (W.A.T.R.I.C.) of its plans to rationalize the Avon Valley racetracks, which meant an expectation that the TRC would amalgamate with the Northam Race Club, and that all race meetings held at Northam.
