This Day in History: 1990-04-05

1990 April: As well as preserving an old Telecom exchange in Connors’ Mill, the Toodyay Tourist Centre took on the responsibility for a small section (17 poles) of the disused Toodyay-Calingiri telegraph line, from the Newcastle Bridge to Connor Street, the rest of the line having been removed by Telecom recently.
