This Day in History: 1990-03-17

The Toodyay Tourist Centre presented promotional displays at an Avon Valley Tourist Association promotion in Forrest Place, Perth. On the Toodyay day, Moondyne Joe (Brian Carpenter) was captured by the ‘Colonial Police Force’ and held in a Perth Lock-up until he was escorted to the Toodyay Gaol on the special Hotham Valley Railway train going to the Moondyne Festival on 1 April.
