This Day in History: 1989-04-09

The 5th Moondyne Festival was held in Toodyay, a month earlier than the last year, but very successful, all the same. The Hotham Valley Tourist Railway train brought its usual load of visitors, who were entertained by the Band of the 5th Military District. The Toodyay C.W.A. won the float parade with its Mad Hatters Tea Party theme. The fun run from roadhouse to roadhouse was won by Shane Murray. Peter Chiffings was the Town Crier.
