This Day in History: 1988-12-16

At the Shire of Toodyay Council meeting, it was decided to transfer the day-to-day management of the Old Gaol Museum on Clinton Street, to the Board of Management of the Toodyay Tourist Centre for trial period, 1 January 1989 to 30 June 1989. The responsibility for the Museum displays remained with the Old Gaol Museum Committee and Council would continue to carry out maintenance and capital works. Council also agreed to underwrite any loss occuring in the trial period.
