This Day in History: 1988-09-27

The Toodyay Sporting and Recreation Federation went into recess because of the lack of support from its member clubs. The Federation’s funds were transferred to the Shire of Toodyay to continue the sponsorship of a World Vision child. The Toodyay Shire Council would form an advisory committee to advise Council on sporting and recreation matters within the Shire. Committee members would be two Councillors and four members of the public.
