This Day in History: 1987-05-02
The Toodyay local government elections were held. There were three vacancies to be filled, one each in the West, North and Central Wards, due to retiring Shire Councillors. Retiring Councillors William V. Carter (West) and Joseph C. (Mac) Wroth (Central) were re-elected. Graham E. Mills (North) was newly elected. Geoff Ludemann was later elected Shire President. Robert J. Millar was the Shire Clerk (since August 1986).
