This Day in History: 1987-02-03
1987 February: It was announced that the Moondyne Festival would go into recess for 1987, due to a lack of local community interest. This was the only year the Festival was not held, since the first in 1984. Planning was to commence for an April event in 1988, as part of the Australian Bicentennial Celebrations.
