This Day in History: 1987-01-10
1987 January circa: The Bicentennial Committee of the Shire of Toodyay had received a grant ($9,762) from the W.A. Heritage Network to develop a Toodyay Pioneer Heritage Trail, following the original road to old Toodyay (West Toodyay). The project included the placement of some 17 plaques and 12 directional signs, and the development of some laybys and a guide pamphlet. A Toodyay Heritage Trail Committee was formed, convened by Pam Masters.
