This Day in History: 1986-09-07

The 3^rd Moondyne Festival was held in Toodyay, run by the Moondyne Festival Sub-Committee of the Toodyay Tourist Centre. Peter Chiffings played Moondyne Joe. Richard, Gavin and Lindsay Watson of Bolgart won the Wowser James Wheelbarrow Race prize of $300. A sheaf tossing competition, a tug of war and a 4km fun run were also on the bill. Town Librarian David Pitcher won the moustache competition.
