During WA Week, in the Toodyay Memorial Hall, 150 Toodyay residents over 50 years of age were guests of the Toodyay Celebrations Committee at a ‘Golden Days’ afternoon tea to mark 150 years of European settlement in Toodyay. Mrs. Isabella Wishart (nee Markey), who was over 100 years of age, was the guest of honour. The Toodyay Branch of the Country Women’s Association of Western Australia did the catering, served by Toodyay District High School students.
