This Day in History: 1985-09-27
1985 September 27-30: The 15th WA Folk Festival was held as usual in Toodyay, by the West Australian Folk Federation. Senior Constable Dave Lampard, Officer in Charge of the Toodyay Police Station, on Stirling Terrace, reported that he was disappointed that a beer drinking minority spoiled the Festival for everyone. Next year, the local police will provide a 24-hour service.
