This Day in History: 1981-08-01

The overnight camp for the 9th Avon Descent paddle and power dinghy whitewater race, from Northam to Bayswater via Toodyay, had been moved from Donegan’s Crossing upstream to Cobbler Pool (sometimes called Cobblers Pool) , on the Avon River, which brought the camp three kms closer to Toodyay.
