1981 June 6-7: Heavy rain damaged roads and bridges in the Toodyay Shire, with 77 mm falling in 6 hours on the Saturday evening, and more the following day, making it the wettest May-June since 1946. The Avon and Mortlock Rivers flooded, causing erosion between Northam and Toodyay.
