This Day in History: 1980-11-10

The Avon Bridge (also called Connor Bridge) on the Goomalling-Toodyay Road over the Avon River was closed for one month for redecking with concrete sleepers. A by-pass was constructed along Drummond Street and School Road (now Drummond Street East).
