This Day in History: 1979-06-04

1979 June 4-10: A WAY ’79 ‘Back to Toodyay Week’ was held to celebrate the State’s 150th Anniversary. Mr. James (Jim) Hassell, a signwriter, created signs and banners, and also donated prizes for the town’s festivities. Jim, along with Bill Sorrell and Wally Chitty, penned poetical contributions.
