This Day in History: 1979-05-05
1979 May: Cartographer John Maslin had produced a specially designed map to graphically depict the tourist features of the Avon Valley. The old Avon Drive scenic route is presented through the four towns of Toodyay, Northam, York and Beverley. The map, and explanatory leaflet, was sold from the towns’ tourist centres.
