This Day in History: 1976-01-09
The Governor set apart land as a Public Reserve (ie picnic area) in Toodyay, creating Reserve No. 33821 (Lot Nos. 233 and 251), between Harper Road and the Avon River, near the Avon River Bridge. This reserve was named Duidgee Park on 15 May 1978.
