This Day in History: 1972-04-25
For the first time for many years, a local ANZAC Day service was conducted in Toodyay for the Toodyay RSL Sub-branch by the Northam Salvation Army leader Mr. Freind. Previously, an ABC radio relay broadcast had been received from Perth. The march, the biggest for many years, was led by local Vietnam returned servicemen and included a large contingent of the newly formed Toodyay St. John Ambulance Cadets.
