This Day in History: 1969-10-11
Toodyay’s 116th Show, run by the Toodyay Agricultural Society, featured new poultry pens and cattle pens behind the grandstand. The new Pavilion, used for lunches and afternoon teas, filled an area hardly used previously. The high school section of the metalwork and woodwork classes had entries for the first time from the Toodyay Junior High School. The St. Aloysius Convent School also had submitted entries for the first time for a number of years.
