This Day in History: 1969-03-23
Shire President Dallas Edward Ludemann officially opened the new lights on courts 3 and 4 at the Toodyay tennis courts on Fiennes Street, Toodyay. Wally Chitty was acting Captain of the Toodyay Tennis Club at the time. Eight retired players had the honour of playing the first sets of doubles on the two courts.
