This Day in History: 1968-10-14

The Meckering earthquake (measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale) only caused minor damage in Toodyay. The 11 cement domes on the top of the parapet of the Freemasons’ Hotel fell on to the main street Stirling Terrace.
