This Day in History: 1968-09-08
The Toodyay Naturalists’ Club organized an excursion for 80 members, friends and invited guests including politicians to Bald Hill in the former Avon Valley Army Training Area, Morangup, to lobby for the land to be reserved. Local Members of Parliament, Swan-Guildford Shire Councillors and the press attended.
