This Day in History: 1964-11-11
The Toodyay Parents’ and Citizens’ Association met to vote on whether to work towards the Toodyay State School becoming a junior high school or running an extra school bus to Northam Senior High School. The vote was 91 to 15 for becoming a junior high school. It was understood the change would not occur until 1966, and only if an enrolment of 170 students was achieved, with 30 in a post-primary class.
